Black & Red Records are very pleased to announce the signing of West Auckland-based metalcore band Edge of Fury.

Edge of Fury caught the attention of the label with their new single ‘The War Within’. The single displays an ability to mature the hard-edged metal sound from their self-released debut EP ‘Midnight’, incorporating tasteful melodies which show off their ever improving musicianship and songwriting.

‘The War Within’ will feature on the band’s upcoming EP, due to be released in the first half of 2012 - a release that is sure to become one of the genre’s most anticipated EP’s of the New Year.

Since their inception in 2009, Edge of Fury have proven to be hard working and determined to succeed. Building up a solid fan base through strong live performances, they have gained valuable touring experience by sharing the stage with some of the greats from the New Zealand and Australian hardcore scenes, including: Saving Grace (NZ), The Amity Affliction (AUS) and Northlane (AUS).  They also opened for American act Scary Kids Scaring Kids on their farewell tour of New Zealand in 2010.

With an average age of 20, this young band is showing a lot of promise for now and in the future.  Black & Red Records will be working closely alongside the band to help achieve their goal of becoming a known force around the metal and hardcore communities, both in New Zealand and abroad – starting with an Australian tour in 2012 to support their upcoming EP release.
