FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1. Do you accept demo submissions?
We do. We’d love to hear your new music and hear about how your band is going, so we’ll be happy to check out some stuff.
Email us at email@example.com with your band name in the subject. Include your Facebook link so we can hear your tunes.
If you want to attach mp3’s, only send up to two of your best songs for submission. We don’t accept physical submissions. It’s all email!
2. I sent my demo in, have you listened to it?
We will check out and listen to every submission we receive, promise! We will be in touch if we need to hear more or are interested in offering you a spot on our artist roster.
3. Will you use one of my band's songs on your next comp?
In the future we will look at releasing compilations that in our opinion highlight the best acts around New Zealand. If you want to be considered then please submit your produced track to the above email address. If we are interested in using one of your songs we will be in touch.
4. I want to use a Black & Red artist’s song on a project, who do I talk to?
Email Logan at firstname.lastname@example.org with your request including a brief rundown of what the project is and what it’s for plus what track(s) you would like to use. Most likely we will approve but it’s nice to ask first.
5. How do I interview a Black & Red band?
We would love it if your magazine/website, no matter the size, wanted to talk to one of our bands for an interview or feature. Please send an email to Sarah at email@example.com. In the subject line please write the name of your magazine/site and the name of the band you want to interview.
6. How do I book a Black & Red band for a show/tour?
Email Will at firstname.lastname@example.org for all bookings. In the subject line please write the name of the band you want. In the email please give us much information as possible about your event and about your experience putting on shows.
Our artists are always keen to open for international touring bands coming to New Zealand.
7. How do I get promo copies for Black & Red bands?
Because we focus on digital distribution, we won’t have a pile of promo copies to send out but you are welcome to submit a request to email@example.com - we will add you to the database for digital promo copies of our releases for reviewing purposes.
